Our Mission to Save the Wetlands
The South Maui Save the Wetlands Hui has a simple mission, to conserve, protect, and restore, wetlands in the South Maui area, and to educate the public about the essential role that wetlands play in South Maui’s ecosystems. An urgent part of our mission is to identify Maui’s remaining Wetlands so that they can be protected and preserved before they are lost to real estate developments and destructive re-engineering of the underlying watersheds.
